It was sometime in the middle of a frosty winter.
You were wandering aimlessly in the white wilderness of your thoughts,
Searching for a patch of green in all the snow.
You sat down, your head resting on your knees,
The sun was waiting for you to rise.
It was sometime in the middle of a foggy rain.
You were wandering aimlessly in the slippery streets of your heart,
Waiting for the two-way traffic to come to a stop.
You sat down, your head resting on your knees,
The skies were waiting for you to clear.
It was sometime in the middle of a sparkling spring.
You were wandering aimlessly in the fertile forests of your yearning,
Looking for sun-kissed buds already blossomed.
You sat down, your head resting on your knees,
The winds were waiting for you to disperse.
It was sometime in the middle of an enchanted summer.
You were wandering aimlessly in the balmy beaches of your regrets,
Scanning the skies overhead for the seagull’s call.
You sat down, your head resting on your knees,
The tide was waiting for you to retreat.
It was sometime in the middle of now and then.
You were wandering aimlessly, lost in the dazzling brilliance of your dreams,
Seeking respite for a while longer still.
You were sitting, your head resting on your knees,
The sun was waiting for you to set.
I wonder who you were writing about…a muse?
I like this one a lot. You should share your poetry with me more often.
