Close your eyes and travel back 21 years in time. The day is a mere four hours old. Dawn is peeking through the black, velvet skies awaiting the arrival of a new soul. It’s a magical night.
A baby is born. Nothing short of a miracle for the anxious mother who expected her second child to be in her loving arms three weeks earlier, the relieved father, and the joyful two-year-old who has become a sibling.
It’s been twenty one years since that fateful October morning. Have they been a fruitful twenty one years, I wonder.
The blur in my memory tells me otherwise.
Assalaamu alaikum Hajera,
Happy birthday
May Allah make the coming years of your life full of everything you hope for. You’re not too too old yet, so no worries
There’s something in the office for you. Or at least it will be there after 2pm on Wednesday
Check it out. + hope your midterm went well.
